VIP Airport Lounge Pass

If you’re a frequent flyer and like to get away from the hustle and bustle of the airport when you travel, it’s a great idea to book yourself into an airport lounge before your flight. Airport lounges are usually quiet, comfortable and relaxing, with a number of services on offer to suit the busy business traveller. Most airports will have at least one VIP airport lounge and the bigger ones will have a number of them, operated by different airlines. Access usually costs extra, but may be included as part of your deal if you have booked business or first class.

Manchester Airport

One of the main advantages of booking an airport lounge is comfort, and this is something you’ll really appreciate if you have a long stop-over in between flights, or if you need to get a little work done before you travel. Some airport lounges will offer free internet access and business facilities like phone, fax and photocopying with designated work stations. On the other hand, in some you have to pay a little extra to make use of these facilities with most charging about £1.50 for half an hour of online time. If you have brought your laptop with you, however, you may be able to access the internet for free via Wi-Fi, which most airports offer.

Luton Airport

Most airport lounges will have flat screen TVs showing sports or news, and the majority offer table service wherever you’re sitting so you can totally relax while you’re there. Often beverages, alcoholic drinks and light snacks will be included as part of the price, though you may have to pay extra for speciality drinks like champagne.

Edinburgh Airport

The dress code in airport lounges is usually smart casual so track suits and trainers will probably not be acceptable, particularly in the executive and business lounges. And because the focus is on peace and tranquillity children under the age of 12 will not be allowed, though older children are permitted by most as long as they are travelling with an adult.

Bristol Airport

If you’d like to get access to an airport lounge before your next journey, they can usually be booked online via the airport’s website. If not, just give the airport information desk a call and they can put you through to the right department. If you’re flying with one of the major airlines, check with them to see if you are entitled to access to one of their executive lounges. Sometimes access is limited to passengers on trans-Atlantic flights, so it’s best to check before you arrive.
